Day of shame for British democracy

Dear Supporter

Thank you for supporting our campaign for a public inquiry into #DeniedMyVote.

We hope you have been receiving all the updates from the petition website and are up to date with developments in the campaign, including the latest which has the interview I did with Alex Salmond.

Watch here

At a time when some MPs are speaking about proroguing parliament in order to drive through a no-deal Brexit, we are right to question the general health of democracy in the UK .

In the face of government complacency and intransigence, we also believe we are right to  build on the support we have received from the institutions of the European Union as we continue to press for a public inquiry in the UK.

Many of our supporters ask us "How can we best support the work of New Europeans going forwards?"

The answer is by joining New Europeans as a member.

Whether active or passive, our members keep us independent, give legitimacy to our campaigns and allow us to plan ahead so that we can maximise our impact.

By joining New Europeans, you will be able to campaign for as long as it takes to hold to account all those responsible for one of the worst cases of voter disenfranchisement on record.

I look forward very much to welcoming you as a member should you decide to join.

In the meantime, many thanks once again for all your support

With best regards.

PS We will be wrapping up this phase of the fundraising appeal in a couple of days, just short of our target of £7,500. If you would like to chip in an additional donation, please do so today or tomorrow - it will make a difference.
