3 or 4 weeks before the vote, my French wife received a letter from the government telling her that the UK WOULD NOT participate in the EU elections, and that she had to register in her country of origin if she wanted to vote. The least the government could have done would have been to indicate that "the UK would MAYBE not participate in the EU elections". Or even better, be frank about it and simply say: "We do not know if the UK will participate in the EU elections, though this is highly probable". I strongly suspect that the government intentionnally did so to prevent EU voters from voting against them. Thank you for taking action!
