DEFRIEST is a new epic play retelling the true story of Mark DeFriest. We are raising funds to help pay for this run of the play.
Mark DeFriest was wrongly imprisoned in 1980- he remains behind bars today. Mark's life has been a turbulent journey and has faced abuse and injustice within the American judicial system.
DEFRIEST, written by Aaron-Lee Eyles, is an epic play that uses text, music, movement, magic and all things theatre to re tell this story.
Our play runs in March 2022 at a prestigious London venue, as the project wasn't able to achieve Arts Council Funding we are relying on generous donations to help pay for casting and rehearsal spaces, technicians and our marketing campaign.
This project successfully funded on 19th March 2022
