Help us make Derby a safer place to live, work and visit
Please help us to make Derby a safer place to live, work and visit by supporting our campaign to locate a public access defibrillator at QUAD, in the Market Place in the centre of Derby.
Approximately 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests occur every year in the UK and cardiac arrests can happen to anyone at any age.
In cases of cardiac arrest, you need to take action as quickly as possible. A defibrillator needs to be with a patient within 2 to 3 minutes to give the best chance of survival.
Derby QUAD has secured a grant from the British Heart Foundation towards an automated external defibrillator (AED) to be located on the outside of the QUAD building where it can be available in case of need 24/7.
We now need to raise £1200 in match funding to help fund the costs of the defibrillator, cabinet, and a training sessions with the public.
