Aim

To install a Defib at the Hive to provide 24/7 access to the village of Long Buckby.

Help Us Save Lives – Fund a 24/7 Public Defibrillator for High Street

Every second counts during a cardiac arrest. Fast access to a public defibrillator (AED) can more than double the chances of survival, but only if one is nearby.

Right now, the nearest 24/7 public AED is located at the old bank next to the Pigeon pub, with the next 24/7 available device at the community centre. 

Emergency services typically direct callers to an AED within a 500-metre radius, meaning there are still critical gaps in coverage where help may not arrive quickly enough.

We want to change that.

By installing a publicly accessible AED outside The Hive Studio on 15 High Street, we can dramatically improve access for residents, workers, and visitors ensuring lifesaving equipment is available at any time of day or night.

This will cover the cost of the defibrillator unit, secure outdoor cabinet & installation.
