Celebrating a Decade of Dogs
THE PURPOSE
We are looking to raise £2,000 so we can self-publish and bring this 250 page coffee table photo book to life, showcasing hundreds of stunning outdoor on-location portraits of dogs from around the UK.

This book is the culmination of a decade of photographing dogs, chosen from the thousands of beautiful portraits produced by multi-award winning specialist dog photographer Joe Riley under the mantle of Bounders Dog Photography.
Known affectionately by some simply as ‘Bounders’, this moniker reflects the energetic nature and crazy personality of the characters Joe endeavours to capture. These selected portraits along with the stories retold in this book are a celebration of what Bounders has become. A passion and long-term project that has given joy and comfort to hundreds of families up and down the British Isles, helping them to love, celebrate and remember their four-legged family members forever.

Bounders has compiled a catalogue of not just beautiful portraits, but interesting, funny and quirky ones too. Photos which bring a smile to your face, and act like windows into the hearts and souls of our furry friends.
These incredible creatures who we invite into our families, who live in our homes and never fail to fill our world with unconditional love, joy and happiness. Hopefully, by the end of this book, you’ll have an undeniable sense of what Bounders is all about, celebrating individuality over conformity, personality over perfection.

- 10 chapters, one for each year, featuring 10 photo sessions, culminating in over 100 dogs.
- 10 articles detailing some of our most memorable experiences from across the last decade.
- 10 short personal accounts of various fun adventures we’ve enjoyed.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER/AUTHOR
JOE HASN'T ALWAYS PHOTOGRAPHED DOGS…
In a highly varied and concentrated career spanning nearly two decades, there is little Joe hasn't photographed. Fast-moving superbikes, football at Wembley, celebrities and royals, high-end advertising and studio work, even the dreaded school portraits and a best friend's wedding.
He is well studied in everything photographic, with a BA Hons degree from the Cambridge School of Art, and NCTJ & NCE press qualifications. His knowledge and experience is extensive, and his specialism in small off-camera flash has allowed him to teach night classes and at colleges, as well as run workshops for photographers of all abilities.
NO-ONE APPROACHES DOG PHOTOGRAPHY IN QUITE THE SAME WAY...
And as for his knowledge of pooches?
He's spent the last 10 years focusing solely on dogs, working with well over 1,000 canines of all shapes and sizes. His unorthodox techniques and hands-on approach ensures every dog has a fun and relaxed photo session. By constantly engaging dogs in play, taking pictures as he goes, Joe captures their true character up close and personal.
His unique approach, coupled with his vibrant and dynamic style has helped many hundreds of families experience wonderful adventures with their dogs, leading to truly stunning portraits that are cherished forever.
