Debt & Money Advice for a Brighter Future

Aim

Help us to bring hope to more clients in Mid Devon on their debt & money journey, helping them to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We need your help to offer more Debt and Money support, focusing on helping those without judgement who need help, manage their money for a more secure future. 

CHAT (Churches Housing Action Team) works to tackle homelessness, avoid evictions, and bring hope to the communities of Mid Devon.

We believe that everyone should be entitled to food to eat, decent, secure, affordable accommodation and somewhere to call home.

Our hub, based in Tiverton provides a warm, safe place for clients to visit for a hot cup of tea and a friendly face. Our services are offered free of charge and the demand is bigger than ever before.

Talking about money is not an easy subject for many people. We dedicate time to discuss client’s issues - helping them to deal with the difficulties they are facing at their own pace.

Every client is assessed individually, and the service is delivered compassionately and patiently.

We support them to develop problem-solving skills and take positive actions to improve their situation, finding the best possible outcome.

Clients who come to CHAT for support, often use more than one service and the case becomes much longer term.
