Following our run in London in April, we are raising funds to bring Dear Cathy to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
About the Play
Written and directed by John Brindley and co-directed by Georgia Emily Scott, performed by Amelia Sweetland, with an original music score by Polo Piatti.
Dear Cathy follows one woman’s struggle to confront the truth of infertility and what an out of the ordinary, brutal biology has imposed on her marriage, on her past life – and on every aspect of her future.
An unflinching and unconventional look at the emotional toll of infertility and the often-unspoken mental health struggles that accompany it, this one-woman play explored grief, isolation, resilience, and the pressure to remain silent around deeply personal loss.
Support Dear Cathy
Each member of our creative team is volunteering their time to this production due to their passion for and belief in this project. However, any theatre production incurs its costs and we all know how challenging it can be to bring a show to Edinburgh Fringe. We need your help to ensure that we are able to deliver a high quality production.
By donating to this crowdfunder, you are helping to ensure the quality and smooth running of this project, allowing our team to take creative risks, develop the best space for developing their work, and ensuring each member of our team is supported in going to Fringe. Your donation will go towards:
