Hello, my name is Simeon Hart.
This is my brief BSL video.
I will sign in sign language as this is my first language. I know you may not understand me because you are hearing and don’t know sign language. This is why we NEED a sign language interpreter to enable us to understand each other.
I have been selected as a Parliamentary Candidate for the Green Party in the constituency of Oldham West and Royton for the forthcoming by-election on Thursday 3rd December.
I need you to support me to raise money for sign language interpreters’ fees during my 3 week campaign. We need to raise £3,000 to enable me to run a full campaign without communication barriers, because the Access to Elected Office Fund for Disabled People (AEOFDP) has been frozen and is being evaluated. We don’t know when AEOFDP will be opened again to support Deaf and Disabled people.
