Your support can help us bring our club back to life, help us fund the repairs we cant afford and make it a safe place again for our players
The club was established in the 1890s as St Peters Church. They were later named Bardon Hill Granite and then Bardon Hill Sports. After playing in local leagues around Coalville, the club moved up to the Leicester & District League and the North Leicestershire League. In 1994 they joined Division One of the Leicestershire Senior League. After finishing as Division One runners-up in 2005–06 the club were promoted to the Premier Division.
In 2008 Bardon Hill Sports were founder members of the East Midlands Counties League. They were renamed Bardon Hill in 2010. The club won both the Leicestershire and Rutland Senior Cup and the East Midlands Counties League in 2014–15, earning promotion to the Premier Division of the Midland League. However, their first season in the Midland League ended in relegation to the Premier Division of the Leicestershire Senior League.
Despite finishing as runners-up in the Premier Division in 2017–18, Bardon Hill withdrew from the league at the end of the season due to a lack of personnel to run the club. The club continued to run its youth section, and relaunched its men's team for the 2024–25 season
Over the years we have suffered from lack of funds and vandalism at the ground, leaving us unable to make much needed repairs to our facilities.
Despite the hard work of parents and volunteers, this wasn't enough and bad luck kept coming in droves.
With the help of Aggregate industries, some great local businesses and the football foundation, we are on the way to getting the ground back to its former glory, but we still need help.
Any amount you can donate will go towards providing much needed repair and equipment to our facilities and players, enabling us to become stronger and more stable, ensuring Bardon Hill FC remain for many more years to come.
Your support will help furnish our new changing room facility, buy essential line marking equipment for our pitches, repair and renovate our club house, repair perimeter fencing around our pitches, buy equipment to help keep those sideline areas cut and tidy and importantly, help us buy equipment to help keep our ground secure.
From under 9s to men's teams, our club provides a safe and affordable environment for players to come and enjoy a sport they love
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
