New stretch target
We'll keep expanding our performing arts activity with vulnerable local communities and young people.
Theatre Royal Wakefield participants are taking on a sponsored Dance-A-Thon to raise vital funds for the Theatre.
Project by Wakefield Theatre Trust
We'll keep expanding our performing arts activity with vulnerable local communities and young people.
On Saturday 8 October, we’ll be coming together for a full day of dance: from our professional dance tutors and seasoned Performance Academy students, to the staff teams, we’ll all be getting stuck in! Alongside their regular dance lessons, our performance academy students will take it in turns to keep on moving, to ensure someone is dancing all day long!
Our Performance Academy students will be dancing their socks off, not only to raise money for the Theatre but also to share the joy of performing; our performing arts training for young people is about so much more than technical skills. Participants come away with new friendships, improved confidence and have great fun singing, dancing and acting together every week!
Not everyone knows it, but Theatre Royal Wakefield is a charity and relies on generous donations to continue staging exciting productions and working with local communities. By sponsoring the participants, you will be supporting our bustling participation programme, including our performing arts training for young people.
