The Prize Draw will be taking place in The Ent Shed at the Gordon Arms in Castle Road, Bedford at 8pm on Wednesday 22nd April. Any winners not present to receive their prize will be notified via email to arrange collection from MK40 3SZ.
Please bring proof of ID when collecting prizes, either on the night of the Prize Draw or afterwards.
The Cause
Proceeds from the Prize Draw will go towards supporting the Student Minds charity. Student Minds is the UK's student mental health charity, and is dedicated to making sure that no student is held back by their mental health.
The money raised from this prize draw will help fund the charity's programmes which provide evidence-based resources, peer support networks and training for universities to better support their students.
Last year my twin sister and I turned 50, and decided to do something significant to mark the occasion. In June this year we are both climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Student Minds. I am climbing in memory of two close friends from my university years who tragically both took their own lives some time ago. I often wonder, if there had been better access to support, more resources, or a greater understanding of student mental health at the time, whether the outcome would have been different.
No student should have to face mental health challenges alone. With every ticket bought for the Prize Draw, you will be helping Student Minds to ensure that students today have the safety net they need.
How to Enter
To enter the Prize Draw, participants can buy one or more entries online by making a donation to Student Minds via this Crowdfunder campaign.
Entries are not to be bought by or sold to anyone under 18 years of age.
Entries start from just a £3 with options of 2 entries for £5 or 5 entries for £10.
Free entries can be obtained by applying via post to Student Minds Prize Draw, 79 Dudley Street, Bedford MK40 3SZ.
Online entry closes at 23:55 on Tuesday 21st April 2026.
Prize winners will be announced at the live Prize Draw to be held at 8pm in The Ent Shed at the Gordon Arms on Castle Road on 22nd April 2026. Prize Draw entries can also be purchased (cash only) on the night of the Prize Draw before 7:45pm.
Any prize winners not present at the live Prize Draw on 22nd April will be notified via email within 48 hours and must arrange prize collection from MK40 3SZ.
