Who are we?

Dalton Dynamoes was born in 1996. Since those first planning meetings 30 years ago, we’ve grown from a vision on paper to a league-leading community hub.

Today, we support 17 teams and over 250+ children every single week.

Dalton Dynamoes was built on a simple promise: to provide the children of our community a safe, inclusive, and fun environment to play the game they love. As we celebrate our 30th Anniversary later this year, that mission is stronger than ever and we are making our biggest move yet: becoming 100% independent with our own pitch maintenance.

The Dynamoes Family Today

We are more than just a football club; we are a massive community family. We currently support:

  • 17 Teams: Providing a pathway from the very first kicks at U7s all the way through to U16s.
  • 250+ Players: Every single week, over 250 children pull on the Dynamoes shirt, build lifelong friendships, and stay active on our pitches.
  • The Hub: With 6 pitches ranging from 5v5 (soon to be from 3v3) to full-size 11-a-side, our ground is a hive of activity every weekend.

Why This Project Matters Now

For three decades, we have relied on external support to keep our pitches playable. However, it has become clear we can no longer rely on the council to provide the level of maintenance our 250+ children deserve. To ensure Dalton Dynamoes is still here for the next 30 years, we need to take control of our own "Destiny."

Owning our own commercial mower isn't a luxury - it’s a necessity. It ensures that every one of our teams has a reliable, high-quality surface to play on, and it allows us to reinvest contractor fees back into what matters most: our players.

Why are we crowdfunding?

For too long, the quality of our pitches - and the ability of our kids to play - has been out of our hands. We’ve been let down by unreliable council maintenance and machinery that keeps breaking. Last season alone, we spent nearly half the cost of a new mower just on outside contractors.

We aren't just "cutting grass." We are protecting the 10,000+ player-hours that happen on our 6 pitches at Standiforth every year. From our development squad taking their first steps in the game to our adult teams, every player deserves a pitch they can be proud of.

The Solution: Independence

We have secure storage. We have a dedicated team of volunteers ready to do the work. All we are missing is the tool.

By raising £2,000, we unlock major match-funding from Sport England and the Football Foundation. This allows us to buy a commercial-grade Zero-Turn mower that will live in our secure container and serve the club for the next decade.

No more cancelled games due to long grass. No more wasted money.

How we’ll spend the money

Every penny raised goes directly toward the purchase of a professional-grade mower and the initial safety training for our volunteer grounds team.

By owning our own equipment, we save the club in excess of £1,000 every single year - money that will be reinvested into new equipment, better balls, and sustainable sub fees for our families.

How can you play your part?

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
