DadsHouse Buddy Service and Food Bank

Aim

To help single fathers, their children and families in raising their children alone by providing practical and emotional support.

I have had the pleasure of being a part of the DadsHouse team now for almost a year. We have a team of volunteers who are all amazing people and without whom DadsHouse would not be able to function in the same way. We provide the following services to single fathers, their children and families:

Football Club

Buddy Service

Food Bank

Family Law Clinic

Yoga Classes

Lunch Club

From time to time we also run additional projects as and when funds allow but the above are our core services and are ongoing. We are hoping to secure funds to enable us to continue to offer these much needed services well into the future. The impact of Covid-19 and more recently, the cost of living crisis has severely impacted our resources as more people than ever are now using our services, particularly the Food Bank. 

Our vision for the future is to be in a position to offer our many services in other locations across the UK. Our CEO WIlliam McGranaghan (Billy) works tirelessly to ensure that families who are living on the margins of society do not go hungry, have access to free legal advice and representation and have a support network around them. It is important for all our single dads to feel they have somewhere where they can go with their children and families to get both practical and emotional support. 

Any additional funds we receive will not only enable us to continue with our good work but will also allow us to run additional services like Refugee Food Nights,  Breakfast Club, Cooking with Dads and Book Club.
