Help Us Bring the Joy of Cycling Without Age to Older Community in Seaton, Devon! 🚴♂️💙
Imagine the feeling of fresh air on your face, the joy of reconnecting with nature, and the warmth of shared stories—all from the comfort of a special bike ride. Many people in our community can no longer get out and about on their own, but with your help, we can change that!
What Are We Doing?
We’re raising funds to purchase a Trishaw, a specially designed bike that allows volunteer "pilots" to take older people and those with reduced mobility on free rides around Seaton in beautiful Devon. This simple yet powerful idea will bring joy, connection, and freedom to those who need it most.
How Will We Do It?
✨ Partnering with Seaton Care Homes to connect with residents who would love a ride.
✨ Engaging the Seaton community to recruit volunteers to pedal and share the experience.
✨ Creating a safe, welcoming, and fun way for people of all ages to connect.
✨ Joining with Cycling Without Age England & Wales to become part of a growing Worldwide movement created in Copenhagen in 2012.
Why Does It Matter?
🌿 Helps older people and those with reduced mobility to feel part of their community again while enjoying the great outdoors.
🤝 Encourages people from all walks of life to come together and support the older generation.
🚴♀️ Inspires a spirit of volunteering and well-being for the whole community.
Our Progress So Far
✅ Funded a Training Trishaw and trained our first volunteer pilots.
✅ Recruited Trustees & Volunteers to bring this vision to life.
✅ Built a growing social media presence to spread the word.
✅ Achieved Charity Status & applied for matched funding from Sport England.
