Cycle Las Vegas to Galactic Spaceport 2022

Aim

Cycling 500 miles in aid of charities focussed on inspiring young people into Science, Technology and Maths (STEM)

I’m so grateful to be joining another Virgin adventure; this time we plan to cycle 500 miles across Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico; connecting Las Vegas with the Virgin Galactic Spaceport at Truth or Consequences.

Entirely self funded, all proceeds go to charity; equally split between Virgin Atlantic Foundation and Galactic Unite. Both have a heavy emphasis on inspiring young people into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

Having enjoyed (so far!) a fascinating career in aerospace starting as an apprentice at 16 this is very close to my heart, and I’m looking forward to helping to pass the baton on.

As a concession to last year’s ‘health event’ I will be riding an E-bike, to give me the best chance of completing the course.

I know this is yet another charity request; times are hard and it is fully understood that people may have other priorities and not want, or be able to, provide funds.  In any case, all contributions, encouragement and positive vibes will be gratefully received.
