Ruth Hardy is fundraising for
Dementia Research UK
Charity No. 1154143
£615
As some of you might already know, my gran passed away just before Christmas 2019. In her later years, she suffered from dementia and so in her memory, I'd like to attempt to traverse the Cuillin Ridge in Skye with 3 of my friends this summer for Dementia Research UK. This trip was originally planned for summer 2020 but was postponed due to covid.
The ridge usually takes 2 days to complete and has 22 peaks and about 4000m of ascent and descent, however the majority of the ridge is climbing rather than walking making it much more difficult. Doing this challenge seems especially fitting as my gran was a part of the first all female team to complete the ridge, and helped nurture a love of mountains and the outdoors in both my mum and myself.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
