Our aim is to provide a range of services to help people to improve their financial well-being in the Croydon area
Life has never been easy for the residents of remote area of Croydon and projects run by the staff and volunteers at UK DRC BRIDGE have supported people to:
Learn new skills and gain confidence to access work and training
Access the benefits they are entitled to, including for those in work or with disabilities
Manage their personal finances
Access affordable, healthy food and family cookery sessions
In the past, the generosity of donors to the Aviva Community Fund have helped us provide intergenerational project brings together younger and older people through physical activity to tackle social isolation and loneliness
Now, having survived the financial and emotional challenges caused by Covid-19, the cost-of-living crisis means that many families are having to choose between heating their homes and feeding their children, and UK DRC BRIDGE itself is finding it more difficult to sustain services as all our costs increase.
Your support will ensure that we can cover our own costs over the coming winter so that we can provide a lifeline to those who, through no fault of their own, are struggling to pay their bills and feed their children. Please help us to help them keep warm and well fed this Winter and to have a Merry Christmas and New Year. And run a range of workshops and training courses aimed at both young people and adults. These will help them build the skills, confidence, attitudes and behaviours to manage money well.
Your donation will be matched, pound for pound. We are asking people to donate to our campaign, the first £250.00 of which will be matched by Aviva. Please give all that you can- it really will help us to ensure more food and warmth, as well as basic necessities are in place for those who need it this winter.
