Aim
Crowborough Unity is organising community events that aims to demonstrate that community solidarity is stronger than division
Crowborough Unity organised a very successful community event at Crowborough United Church on Saturday 30 May 2026 created in response to rising hostility and aggression towards asylum seekers currently housed at the local barracks. We now aim to organise other events which aims to bring people together in a positive and welcoming environment that promotes understanding, solidarity, and connection. We want to focus on celebrating community diversity while providing safe and inclusive spaces for people to meet, share stories, and stand together against racism and division.
The events seek to:
• Show visible solidarity and support for asylum seekers living in the Crowborough barracks
• Create a safe and welcoming space for local residents who wish to express support and build connections
• Encourage dialogue and understanding between different parts of the community
However in order to make this these important safe community events we need we have additional costs and so have launched this crowdfunder to help with these - please share widely thanks
