Aim

Help Ilkley CC buy a 4ft Electric Auto-Roller so our pitches are of the highest quality for our juniors, women & girls and men's teams

Who are we?

Established in 1850 Ilkley Cricket Club is a founding member of the Airedale & Wharfedale Senior Cricket League. Today the club brings cricket to the whole community, hosting three senior mens, 2 ladies and five junior age groups, playing everyday throughout the summer if the British weather permits. If you're interested in yourself or one of your children playing then don't hesitate to get in touch, we welcome players of all ages , gender and ability!

Firstly a recap on 2022, our 4th flood in 6 years, completely gutting the club again. We are now unfortunately uninsured for floods , so any reserves we do gain from a seasons cricket we need to put aside for the eventuality of this occurring again.

Ilkley Cricket Club is raising funds to purchase a 4ft Electric Auto-Roller to prepare safer, truer pitches across all teams and age groups. Electric rolling cuts emissions and running costs, gives us more reliable prep windows, and improves the experience for juniors, women & girls, and senior cricket.

Our old roller starts 'most' of the time, blows filthy smoke everywhere , and costs us £1500 a year to maintain to keep it going. It has reached its end of life.

Who benefits

Juniors: safer bounce builds confidence and skills.

Women & girls: reliable prep encourages retention and growth.

Community & social cricket: more playable days, fewer cancellations.

Volunteers: lower noise and simpler operation help the grounds team.

Environment: massive reduction in carbon emissions.
