NDCC aim to modernise our facilities at The Green to match the ambition and vibrancy that exists throughout the club.
To continue to provide facilities which match the ambitions of our youth and senior cricket sections.
• Premium coaching equipment (just under £6,000) to be used across all sections of the club, from youth through to senior cricket.
• An additional new mobile practice net to increase grass training and reduce pressure on existing facilities.
• Live scoring and streaming upgrades (software and hardware), so matches can be followed by those who can’t make it to the game, and to support coaching and analysis.
• A new electronic scoreboard for the top (“Nursery”) ground as part of upgrading that facility.
• New mesh sightscreens for both grounds.
• New dome covers for the main ground to protect pitches and keep cricket playable in our climate.
• Storage provision to safely house and protect all the equipment.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
Our “nursery” ground requires upgrading to facilitate the increasing matches and training schedules.
We have a growing ladies and youth section alongside more senior men’s teams that ever using the facility which has no upgrades over decades and is now unsuitable for our ambition.
Your help and support can change that and facilities will be ready for spring 2026 with more usage planned for the season that ever.
All money raised will go towards the project which will provide the items as listed above. These items will enable increased youth / Senior / ladies cricket provision with enhanced practice facilities set within a modernised ground supporting the clubs drive to be bigger and better than ever.
As a voluntary club raising money is key to improving our facilities and every £ raised will support the development of grassroots sport and create pathways to healthier lifestyles through sport for all ages and abilities. As a community club the project will enable us to do more for the community and the list of items below will combine as a project to create a lasting legacy and a much needed upgrade for all who participate in cricket at our home ground of The Green Comber.
North Down Cricket Club est 1857 is one of the oldest sports clubs in Ireland / UK.
We are a club based in Comber a small town just outside Belfast and have an illustrious past with a focus upon the future.
We are a diverse club with a strong and growing youth section linked to local schools and made up of members from all sections of the community.
Our club is welcoming and driven by an unmistakeable amateur and volunteer ethos and a central part in the local community providing physical and mental well-being opportunities through sport.
Our facilities are a key part of the local community and we host various other clubs at the Green.

Total of project £30,000- we need your help to reach our target of £10,500.

Our project will have a huge impact enabling more cricket provision at NDCC.
Club - more games and a higher quality match experience for ladies / youth / senior / visiting sides.
*Our outdated facilities can no long cater for our expanded youth and ladies sections which have increased in size by 200% in the last few years. We need your help to provide the facilities required to make a difference!
Schools - ability to host local schools games including Primary and Secondary schools cricket on the ground.
Outreach - increased sports opportunities for local groups eg youth clubs to visit and try cricket.
