Aim

An annual 3-day art festival and a rare chance to discover over 70 artists at 8 different exhibition venues along a 1-mile trail in TW8

We firmly believe the local creative community is the heart and soul of Brentford and we aim to support the artists who give the area its unique flavour.

Originally founded by local artist, Mr Mr Pearce, to help the community of independent artists get back on their feet after lockdown, one of the most heart-warming testimonials came from an artist who said that "Creative Mile gave the art community a reason to tidy up their studios and get back to work."

Attracting over 3,000 visitors in 2021, Creative Mile drew together over 70 artists and 8 exhibition venues, winning a nomination for a local authority award for its "outstanding contribution to galvanising people and organisations to work in partnership...to create something positive for the wider benefit of others."

For local residents and new visitors alike, Creative Mile's one mile walking trail provides a unique experience and a great way to discover this up-and-coming riverside destination.  Affording a rare chance to get behind the scenes of the hidden art community, visitors can discover dozens of unseen art studios and venues, including Brentford's two regional museums and the local art centre, Watermans.

Local artist and founder, Mr Mr Pearce, states, "Local art events like this provide a great opportunity for the whole community to come together and celebrate creativity. Brentford has such a rich creative heritage and there is some amazing talent in the town. I hope that this event will give artists working in the area a chance to showcase their work to a wider audience.

Led by a small team of creative professionals, Creative Mile is an independent, not-for-profit Community Interest Company. The support of the community is vital to our being able to provide heavily subsidised exhibition space and the opportunity for artists to reach new audiences.
