Let's create an amazing wildflower meadow for people to visit, set amongst our working orchards - supporting a whole host of native wildlife
We set up our orchards in 2014 and quickly saw how the local environment improved and a much broader range of species moved in to make their home. We deliberately leave the grass long between the trees and its this grass we'd love to turn into native wildflower meadow. That way we can continue to provide food and habitat for solitary bees, honeybees, butterflies, moths and a whole host of other wildlife, for decades to come. The money raised would be used to fund the transition, creating an extremely important haven. We want people to have access to the meadow and to take up traditional heritage rural activities, to help us manage it. We already work hand in hand with our local communities creating artisan apple juice through The Random Apple Company, and it is this community aspect we want to build on.
