Help us create a new community apiary in Norfolk, making beekeeping free and more accessible for local people and communities.
We are Project Apis CIC, a Norfolk-based community organisation using beekeeping to bring people together, support wellbeing, teach practical skills, and help more people connect with nature.
Our vision is simple: Beekeeping Without Barriers.
For many people, beekeeping feels out of reach. The cost of hives, bees, suits, equipment, training and somewhere safe to keep bees can make it impossible to get started. We want to remove those barriers by creating shared community apiaries where people can learn, volunteer, spend time outdoors, meet others, and take part at their own pace.
We are raising money to create a new community apiary in Norfolk/Norwich, giving local people a safe and welcoming place to experience beekeeping without needing to own their own hive or buy their own equipment.
The money raised will help pay for the practical things needed to set up the apiary, including hives, bee colonies, protective suits, gloves, tools, essential beekeeping equipment, training, setup, and ongoing support.
Thanks to match funding from the Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation, a £25 donation will unlock £100 towards the project. That means your support can go much further and help us turn this idea into a real, working community apiary. Every sign donation made will be trebled by the MAB Foundation until we hit our target.
This new apiary will be about more than honeybees. It will be a place for learning, confidence building, outdoor activity, social connection and pollinator education. It will also help us talk more widely about biodiversity, native pollinators, planting, habitat and practical ways local people can support nature.
Every donation, share and message of support helps us get closer to opening the gates on a new community apiary for Norfolk.
Thank you for helping us grow something meaningful.
