When I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in September 2023 I set myself a challenge to raise as much awareness and vital funds as possible to help support others in the MND community, and to hopefully aid the research for a cure.
The harsh reality for people diagnosed with MND is that they are given an average life expectancy of 2-5 years from diagnosis, there is no cure and more needs to be done!
Help me to achieve this by completing the challenge, donate where you can, share it with your friends, family and colleagues, post it on social media and get people talking about Motor Neurone Disease.
MND affects people in different ways, but messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste, which can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.
The idea behind this challenge is that anyone can take part!
Simply place a pen in your mouth and write the letters MND onto a piece of paper, film it, share it and help us to make a difference!
