Crags Radio - One Last Shot

For the past six years, Crags Radio has been much more than just a radio station.

We have become a voice for our community, proudly serving North Nottinghamshire, North East Derbyshire and beyond with local news, entertainment, music, interviews and community stories. Every show has been powered by passionate volunteers who have dedicated thousands of hours to creating something truly special.

Along the way, we've given local people the confidence to step behind a microphone for the very first time, trained aspiring broadcasters, promoted independent artists, supported charities and community groups, championed local businesses, covered community events and created opportunities that simply wouldn't have existed otherwise.

Together, we've built an award-winning community radio station that reached over 109,000 listeners in June 2026 alone.

Sadly, like many charities and community organisations, we have been hit by rising costs, reduced advertising income and increasing financial pressures. Despite exploring grants, sponsorships, cost-saving measures and every avenue available to us, we have reached a point where our future is no longer secure.

Without urgent financial support, Crags Radio will be forced to cease broadcasting.

Rather than quietly disappear, we wanted to give our listeners, supporters and community one final opportunity to decide whether Crags Radio deserves to continue.

This campaign is not about expansion or ambitious new projects.

It is about survival.

Every penny raised will go directly towards the essential costs of keeping Crags Radio on air, including:

• Studio and premises costs
• Broadcast streaming and technical services
• Music licensing fees
• Insurance and utilities
• Website and app hosting
• Equipment maintenance and operational expenses

Nobody involved with Crags Radio receives a salary from this campaign. Our presenters, producers, management team and volunteers give their time because they genuinely believe in the value of community radio.

Our vision is simple: to continue providing a platform that informs, entertains and connects our community for many years to come.

We know times are difficult, and we never take anyone's generosity for granted. Whether you can donate £5 or £500, every contribution brings us one step closer to keeping Crags Radio alive.
