To increase the size of #TheWeeMob to improve the health of our permanent pastures, meadows and woodlands.
We are aiming to increase our Shetland herd to help us better manage our beautiful wild corner of Scotland - regeneratively farming to promote biodiversity, capture carbon and improve soil health.
Our current two Shetlands are absolutely perfect for the job - they are small and hardy and graze the very mixed ground that we have here - including munching on trees to get all the nutrients they need! But Betty and Beth need some pals to hep them have even more of a positive impact.
Our aim is to grow our herd, to help us manage the ground even better, and you can be a part of it.
By sponsoring a native rare breed Shetland cow, you will be contributing to the health and well-being of soil, trees and rare flower plants such as ragged robin, monkey flower and a whole range of vetches.
