Raise vital funds to offset club costs during Covid 19. Money raised will help fund the replacement of key equipment. Thanks for helping !
Ivanhoe Archers is a self-funded, archery club that has been open for 30 years (although the first archery club in Ashby de la Zouch was opened in 1846). The club has a mission to grow archery as a fun sport that can be enjoyed by anyone, irrespective of their age, gender or physical ability and are particularly focussed on increasing the participation of juniors and ladies from the local community.
We have developed a reputation as a fun club that helps to develop high performing archers in a fun environment. We host inter-club events with other local archery clubs and have hosted Archery GB national competitions, where we were delighted to receive outstanding feedback and recognition from Archery GB for the quality of the event.
In 2017 the club suffered a break-in and arson attack as a result of which we lost all equipment built up over 27 years. It was only due to the financial generosity of local charities, other archery clubs and our club members that we were able to stay open. Ever since, we have had to manage club funds extremely carefully and the loss of our usual summer fund raising events, means money earmarked to replace vital equipment will instead have to be used to cover our costs for indoor and outdoor venue hire.
We sincerely thank everyone who donates, especially given the financial hardships that many people are enduring during the covid 19 crisis !!
