Half Way There After Springtime Surge In SPEAR In Donations!

During Covid 19 crisis, SPEAR are in need of more support from the local community to help tackle homelessness.

During Covid 19, our services are needed more than ever.  SPEAR's hard-working frontline Key Workers continue to work with the most vulnerable people in our community in Hostels and out on the streets.

The Covid 19 crisis has put our Key Workers under even more demand.

With events, community groups, companies, schools all shutting down, our income in this area has currently dropped 100%.  This is money that we rely on to run all our services.

SW London charity, SPEAR helps some of the most vulnerable people in our community, including those with mental and physical health issues.  SPEAR provides a rough sleeper outreach service, mental and physical health support, training, education and employment.

If you can please just give a few pounds or more - no amount is too small to help keep our charity going during this difficult time, so we can help the most vulnerable.

Please help us out of this crisis, so we can help others out of theirs.

Half Way There After Springtime Surge In SPEAR In Donations!

Many thanks to all SPEAR supporters who have donated over the past weekend.  We truly appreciate your thinking of SPEAR at a time when you would normally be spending time with family and friends.

We are now just over half way towards our goal and we need your help in sharing our appeal so that we can reach it!

Recent Update around Covid 19 - Incredible local support for Young Persons' Project!

After the necessary closure of pubs and restaurants, staff - including chefs - from the William Morris gastropub in Merton donated fifteen hot dinners to the residents at SPEAR young persons' accommodation in SW19!

Joy from our Fundraising Team was on hand, in her protective gloves, to help Ruby from the pub to unload the bags of food.  Rosie, SPEAR's Young Persons' Engagement Worker, took delivery.  The food went straight to the communal kitchen/dining area where there were fifteen hungry mouths to feed.

You'll see from the photo that social distancing measures were followed.  Health & Safety measures are paramount and SPEAR is striving to keep both staff and those being supported from homelessness to independence healthy during these times of uncertainty.
