Ignite aims to expand our counselling for young people service to include family support counsellors who specialise in domestic violence.
We run a counselling service for young people who, too often, slip through the net. Currently, we support 12-15 young people every six weeks. This is growing as demand is continuously increasing and we want to provide mental health support to as many young people and their families as possible.
Help us to continue to deliver bespoke counselling for those who are most vulnerable in our community. Mental health support is essential to reduce loneliness and isolation while creating long term social change. With your support we will be able to expand our service to ensure more young people and families are provided with vital mental health care.

At Ignite Life, we believe that everyone should receive equal access to mental health support and so we launched a counselling service in January 2021! We are ideally placed within our community to reach some of the most vulnerable young people; due to our close connections with other organisations and with local schools, we are able to reach those who, too often, go unheard. We are in the process of expanding this service to include additional counsellors and family support counsellors who will specialise in domestic violence support to ensure we provide the most effective and holistic care.
Due to the pandemic, domestic violence support services have experienced higher rates of calls and demand is growing. We need to acknowledge the importance of supporting the whole family to help communities thrive. Funding, if we are lucky to receive it, will help us continue to grow this project and provide mental health support to those most vulnerable in our communities.
Ignite Life aim to help young people, and their families, overcome adversity.
