Havens Community Hub creates and supports social enterprise projects with and for the community and is currently focussing on building organisational stability and resilience for the future sustainability of the not-for-profit entity.

This funding will allow Havens Community Hub to develop new projects to increase trading income and increase the efficiency of the organisation creating new revenue streams and meeting unmet local needs including Digital Inclusion and Community Food.

The Hub provides multiple locations for people to access tonnes of low or no-cost food through an environmental partnership with 18 local supermarkets and offers free community events that double as warm spaces linked to the provision of wider advice and support services.  

They provide rooms and administration for many advice and counseling agencies especially those helping carers, people suffering from financial or emotional difficulties, or homelessness, and practical support for dozens of other groups who are in turn helping hundreds of residents.

They are currently supporting a volunteer driver community transport charity to give people access to accessible and affordable transport to access shops, facilities, support groups, and daily living and three day clubs for older people with complex needs.
