To provide food and support to help people survive the cost of living crisis.
This is a cost of living emergency. You can help!
The cost of living crisis is having a severe and heartbreaking impact on a huge number of people. More people than ever are coming to us for help as they have nowhere else to turn. They are facing sky high fuel and food bills that they simply cannot pay. They urgently need your help.
We are a community support charity in Penge and provide a foodbank, free hot meals, free community café, counselling and advice on benefits, housing and debt. Unlike other foodbanks you do not need a complicated referral or voucher – everyone is welcome.

We are seeing so many more new people who desperately need help. Many of these are families or those in low paid jobs who cannot make ends meet. This could be your teacher, nurse or neighbour. Children are going hungry and will be cold this winter as they cannot afford to heat their homes.
In September 2021 our foodbank provided food for 509 adults and 162 children. In September 2022 this was 1025 adults and 474 children, an increase of 101% and 192% respectively. In September 2021 we gave out 537 hot meals, in September 2022 it was up to 1041 hot meals.
At the same time of rising demand, food donations are falling and the cost of food we need to buy to keep our foodbank open is going up. This is why we need your support.

We provide food to help people today but we also provide expert advice to help them have a better future. Our advocates offer advice on housing, benefits, homelessness and debt. Our trained debt advisors help people take control of their wellbeing by offering 1-2-1 sessions, giving them the advice and tools they need to be more financially independent.
Help us be there for them.

Donate what you can to help keep our foodbank open and feed those most in need this winter. Every donation will help – it could provide a food parcel, advice on managing debt, counselling or simply a warm, safe space with a hot meal and some company.
Please give what you can to help those most in need.
