Aim
We are raising funds for our Information &n Advice Service. They support older people to claim the benefits they are entitled to.
The Information & Advice team offer clear support to navigate the benefits system. Our Advisers will help through the whole process, including appeals where necessary. Our top-quality support is unparalleled.
The Information & Advice team includes the Advice and Support Manager, 2.2 Advice Workers and 11 Volunteer Advisors. The Information and Advice (I&A) service provides free, confidential support on navigating the benefits and social care system. We help people maximise their income through benefits and entitlements, claim small grants, and support with Lasting Power of Attorney paperwork. We help people through the complex system of claiming benefits, including through the appeals process if necessary. Last year, we supported 2,400 people and raised £2.2M in additional benefits. This is money that goes straight into older people's pockets so they can spent as they need.
We are raising £5,000 so we can support as many older people as possible this difficult winter.
