COVID-19 has created uncertain times for our club and we have around 100 swimmers we desperately need to get (safely) back into the pool
Our COSACSS swimmers have struggled over the last four months not getting wet......
The Covid outbreak has unfortunately meant that we have had our swimmers out of the pool for far too long (land based training over social media can only go so far!) We have had to suspend our fees as well as our swim training for the last four months - this has led to a depletion of club finances (in addition to the two Open Meet galas that we have had to take the difficult decision to cancel)
We are hoping that the funds will allow us a smooth transition back into full time training whilst continuing to offer the local community the opportunity to be part of a friendly, supportive and competitive swimming club and will be crucial to keeping the club financially viable.
We will need to have a fully monitored and “clean” return to poolside, with no access to changing rooms and showers being the norm for the next few months, so will be looking for volunteers for poolside clean down and COVID registration at each session
Some of the money raised will go towards the purchase of extra long lane ropes that will allow us to utilise the 33m pool and ensure we can get extra swimmers into the training sessions
