The aim of this project is to engage people with their local environment to buy survey equipment in order to better protect Cornish wildlife

Hello Funders!

We are CREPES! Cornwall Recording Equipment for Environmental Science. A group of students in our final year at Newquay University Center.

The aim of this crowdfunding project is to engage people with the local environment and raise money to purchase survey and recording equipment such as ID Guides, Binoculars, Compasses, Waterproof Clipboards and Thermal-Imaging Devices to help undertake scientific projects in Cornwall. These projects can help us to better understand what is going on with local wildlife and the environment and how we can best conserve and protect it. This helps to inform local people and management bodies about how they can change their practice for the best of local wildlife.

Many projects are underfunded for doing these surveys so your contributions could help to make sure they happen and increase sustainability within Cornwall providing wildlife with the natural environment and its abundance of wildlife needs. 

Scientific surveying equipment can range in price from small essentials like pencils, small hand lenses, and waterproof notetaking pads and expensive equipment such as thermal imaging technology. All of the funds raised will go towards buying surveying equipment that will be donated to Cornwall Dunes Recording Group so they can continue to do their amazing work!
