Cornwall Inspired will be a book showcasing some of the diverse talent found in this beautiful county.

What: Cornwall Inspired will be a book showcasing some of the diverse talent found in this beautiful county. It will feature creatives making anything from amazing art, delicious food and drink to hand crafted surfboards. It will not only show their creations but tells the stories behind them and why they make here in Cornwall.

Who is in it: Kirsty Elson, Kezia, Nicole Heidaripour, Claire Armitage, Otter Surfboards, Kiwi Print Studio, Hendra Farm, Laura Lane, Waves Gallery,Tony Plant, Southwestern Distillery, David Kemp, The Gingham Chicken, The Cow Lady, Mirjana Smith, Knightor, Rogue Theatre, Particle Press and the Thousand Paper Cranes, Sarah Drew, Jane Ryan, bohwne, Kirsty Mason, David Pascoe, Esther Connon, Sue Newell, Shane Thompson, Julia's Driftwood, Dawn Sheridan, Victoria Walker, Poppy Treffry, Flottles by Liberty and Nicola Plummer.

Who we are: Stephen and Kim moved from New Zealand to Cornwall and fell in love with this beautiful county. We soon met some amazing creatives and thought the world should know about them. We are going to make a soft back book of about 200 pages printed here in Cornwall. We will interview and photograph the 32 amazing creatives. The book will showcase their art and tell us their stories. Why they make here, the story behind their art and how they are inspired by Cornwall.

The photography, design and production will be done by Stephen and Kim based in Liskeard, Cornwall.

The interviewing and writing will be done by Lucy Durneen also based in Liskeard, Cornwall.

The printing will be done by Four Ways Print company in Launceston, Cornwall.

How the budget is allocated :

The cost of printing the book is £6597.

The cost of photographing at 32 locations all over Cornwall, design, ISBN number, project management and the website is £6000.

The cost of interviewing 32 creatives, writing and proof reading is £2000.

The cost of rewards £2256.

Crowdfunder and transaction fee £1170.

Timeline: We want to have the book ready in 4 months. We feel the photography, writing and production should take 3 months and the printing a further month.

The risks are actually getting to all 32 creatives in time and weather dependent. All rewards will be sent out as soon as possible at the beginning of the project.  Physical copies of the book will be sent out at a later date as soon as the book has been printed.
