Hi! If you enjoy singing or know someone that does, then thank you for reading on...I'm bringing a new daytime community-based choir to Cornwall in the Autumn (post lockdown allowing...) and am asking for help with the cost of professional branding/website/marketing please!
About the choir: Focus will be on bringing people together, with a good 30 minutes of refreshments & chat, and 90 minutes of singing. I have been leading choirs in some form for around 20 years now, and want to create something really special. Repertoire will be varied, with a mixture of piano accompaniment, backing tracks & a cappella. There will be no auditions & no requirement to read music (although I can provide notation at your request) and I will be open to song suggestions from members.
This is a choir for women; however, it's my vision to lead an all-male voice group alongside it, perhaps once the initial choir is established & if enough men are willing!
So many benefits! I've always been super passionate about the positive power of music & sound on the mind, so my sessions will be heavily geared towards your overall well-being, helping you to feel empowered and full of life! I'm a member of both the Natural Voice Network & Total Choir Resources, and am constantly seeking to develop my skills to further enhance the experience of the choir. During lockdown I have been attending many informative & insightful webinars from professionals covering various aspects of the voice, and will continue my research - probably for the rest of time!
Size isn't everything! It's really important to me that our choir members feel safe & truly connected, so in order to ensure this, there will be a limit to the maximum number of members in each group.
Networking: It is my intention to allow choir members to have the chance to network, with the platform to market their own business.
Extra Extra!: As well as termly workshops - longer than the usual rehearsal & based on a specific genre (e.g jazz, musicals, Cornish etc.), I also visualise inviting members & non-members alike to run various non-music related workshops for the benefit of the group, as & when the opportunity arises.
In summary, the choir will be so much more than just a singing group, where nothing will be set in stone and we can adapt & develop as we go!
Professional branding & website: this will set the tone for my vision & ethos, enabling me to reach out to the local community and helping me to get my business off to the best start.
