We're aiming to create a short film which explores the socio-economic disparities between rich elites and the activists who oppose them.

"A group of rich, young socialites are enjoying a party where they plan to gluttonously consume every type of food on the planet, including cooked human meat as a final course. But their indulgent and decadent retreat turns into a chaotic fight for survival when the socialites are ambushed by animal rights vigilantes"

One of our focuses for this project is raising the awareness of inclusivity by portraying the mania of exclusivity as a satire.

A STATEMENT FROM OUR DIRECTOR, ATLAS CROFT.

Britain is a country built on exclusive archaic clubs.

It’s one of the fundamental factors that prevent us from being a truly inclusive class-free country.

The Cornucopia Club is no different. In the film, I don’t want only to explore the destruction of exclusivity, but also larger topics such as our relationship with food and animals following the emergence of veganism and vigilantism in animal rights campaigning.

Additionally, we will look into the morality of how the characters - both inside and outside the club - manipulate others in their groups in order to convince them to “do the right thing” for their worldview.

All this will be set on a backdrop of decadence and avarice, which will highlight societal tensions as we head into further post-pandemic and economic-inequality turmoil.

Our budget is low, but we are aiming high! Cathy has centred the script in a single location to ensure that the majority of our money can be set aside for a magnificent place to shoot. We can keep costs relatively low on account of our team having access to filming equipment, in addition to the fact that we have a cast and crew who are willing to work collaboratively well as not having to set aside money to pay crew/cast members due to it being a collaborative effort.

We already have several visual styles set out ahead of schedule which serves to help further our efforts to create the best film we are capable of!

This film has made us laugh outrageously during the readthroughs and we can't wait to share our excitement and creativity in the film!
