Coraline - Organic SPF, candles and treatment room

Dear everyone,

How are you? We hope you have had a lovely summer. It is now three months since our Crowdfunder closed and we are keen to update you all with where we are at.

We raised a total of £5,799.00 which was 28% of our £20,000 goal with a total of 139 donations. We are truly thankful to all of you for your support of, and belief in, us.

For those of you who selected a reward in return for your pledge, we want to thank you for your patience. We know that our expected timeframe to send them out to you was this summer.

Treatment room - going strong

We opened our treatment room on 2nd June with Amanda offering Reiki, Facials and Thai Stamp Back Massage a few days a week. We are so happy with how it's building through word of mouth. Today in fact is the day we have a second therapist beginning, Debbie, who will offer treatments too (except Reiki).

Our thinking was that our best investment of what we raised was to get it up and running so we could then fund our other two projects. Our predicted cost was £5,000 to soundproof and kit it out, and that's how much it did cost. 

Candles (we knew we needed £6,500 to develop and launch these). If you have selected them as a reward (or part of your reward) we will send them to you by the end of October 2025.

We want to thank you all for your patience in receiving them and sincerely apologise for the delay. We had to raise the necessary capital to order all the glassware and packaging up front. Our treatment room, and the kindness of friends and family giving us an extra helping hand, has enabled us to do this now.

We are really happy now that, a little later than planned, those of you who have selected a candle (or candles) as your reward (or part of your reward), can expect to receive them at the end of October. 

We plan to officially launch them on our website and in the shop in early November at our annual Topsham shop birthday party. You will receive yours in advance of this. We will send a newsletter out about their launch at our November event in the coming weeks. Kevin's attention to detail and passion for making them truly organic is at the fore, and I see his passion everyday such as in hand-cutting and waxing the organic cotton wicks so they are truly natural and free from toxins! We have regulatory approval, the packaging is all set and the glassware is arriving soon.

We will email those of you who have selected them as your reward in early October to ask which scent(s) you would like.

Sunscreen (we knew we needed £8,500 to develop and launch this). If you have selected them as a reward we will send them to you in Spring 2026.

Kevin continued to work on the SPF but we have simply not had the funds required to develop it in time for launch this summer. We apologise for not letting you know sooner. We kept hoping we might be able to.

We plan now to launch the sunscreen for Spring 2026 when the next season arrives that you will need it, which gives us time to raise the required investment. We will honour all of your sunscreen rewards at this time next year. We are genuinely sorry for this delay and know that it is not what you signed up for. Please reply to this email if you would like us to organise an alternative reward for you which we will happily do (e.g. a candle, or some of our existing skincare), or if you would like your money back. 

We are very grateful to our wonderful Coraline Skincare team for their enthusiasm and hard work, and to all of you for backing us all the way.
