To expand our provision of meals, social contact, outings & engagement with the community through the energy & cost of living problems.
We're a CAN Warm Hub offering lunch in a warm, safe & friendly environment in the local village hall. We operate in a very widespread but small rural community in North Northumberland, bringing people together for a nice home-cooked lunch, friendly chat and a chance to be out of their own remote homes.
We organise outings, events, small craft projects and bring in help from community support groups on issues such as energy efficiency and personal security.
We also maintain a close relationship with the local First School and Upper Coquetdale Community Transport.
Our project supports people, many of whom are elderly, isolated, lonely and frightened by the cost of living crisis.
This is recognised by the wider community as being a very good thing, and many of those who are isolated enjoy our special events, such as our Afternoon Tea for the Jubilee.

Everything, from food, heating, providing transport for outings and ways we help keep people warm and safe now cost significantly more. We don't want to increase our £4 charge and add to the burden of the people we are helping - but we do want to increase what we can offer.
We will spend it on expanding what we do for our "clubbers" by ensuring that we have the financial means (without increasing our charge) to do so.
