Coombe Girls' School PFA Winter Fundraiser 2024

Aim: We are seeking funding for refurbishing school buildings, bike shelters, outdoor games and activities, covered pergolas, tables and benches.

We are reaching out to seek your support for an important initiative at Coombe Girls' School. Our goal is to enhance the learning environment and overall experience for our students by refurbishing school buildings and equipment for outdoor activities.
We are currently looking to fund the following projects:
Priority list:
- Bike Shelters/Racks: To encourage cycling to school and reduce traffic congestion around the school. Bike Shelter + Rack costs £2700 for 24 Bikes without labour costs.
- Outdoor Games and Activities: Including skipping ropes, hopscotch, and other equipment to promote physical activity and well-being. Costs between £500 and £1000.
- Covered Pergolas: For providing sheltered outdoor spaces where students can gather, study, or relax. In wood frame cost vary estimate £4000 for 1 D3m xW6m without labour costs. Ideally 2 - total cost £8,000
- Benches and Tables: To enable students to enjoy their lunch and outdoor activities comfortably. £750 for 1 table and 4 benches - We need at least 5 minimum - Total £3,750
- Microscopes for Science: this will enable the children do more analysis and conduct further experiments in their science projects. Costs £650 per Microscope. We are looking to get 5 which is £3,200
- Refurbishing School Buildings: To create a more conducive and inspiring learning environment. This cost in itself is quite high. It would be amazing if we could repaint some of the rooms and change the floors. Cost estimated at £10,000 minimum excluding labour.
These improvements will significantly benefit our students and staff, fostering a healthier and more engaging school environment. We believe that with your generous support, we can make these enhancements a reality.
