Hi there my name's Demi and I'm aiming to keep standing by my dear friend Islam in her recovery journey after enormous loss & demoralisation
Greetings and welcome to my Crowdfunder,
Name's Demi and I'm a lone parent of 2. Currently on a wellbeing break from work due to my disabilities. My income is extremely low yet this doesn't stop me from sharing it with my dear friends in need.
Islam is one of them and recently contacted me kindly for help and support while rebuilding her life after displacement and loss of all her belongings in the process.
Could you give me a hand so I can keep giving to her?
She is alone in this world;
There are no other elderly members or children in her life.
Her beloved mother passed away several months ago due to the dire circumstances 🖤
She is currently allowed to live with her sisters, who raise their children but can't support her permanently.
Her urgent needs are basic necessities such as food, clothing, water, and suitable shelter independently.
The community kitchens in Gaza are extremely restricted by the occupation at that stage as truck drivers are being disallowed from distributing goods.
Effectively regular support is vital, and I will continue providing it to her unquestionably.
Her long-term needs include preparation for job seeking purposes so she can support herself.
Islam is a very ambitious woman, qualified in Library and Information Science.
That's also the field she would like to return to when able to work again, however is aware that it's a priority to earn an income in any field that welcomed her, in order to achieve her independence as a priority.
