Our project will connect people to nature through citizen science, forest school and sustainable gardening across Greater Manchester.
We want to connect people to nature through a range of exciting activities.
We know spending time in nature is good for our physical and mental health but people in urban communities have the least access to nature. We want to give everyone the opportunity to connect 2 nature and discover the beauty that surrounds them and get involved in increasing the habitat to help nature thrive in our neighbourhoods.
Through a programme of learning with exciting activities including citizen science, forest school, pond dipping, nature crafts, sustainable gardening and habitat creation we will engage with children, young people and their families to connect 2 nature in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
We believe if people can connect to nature and understand it, they are more likely to protect it.
