CCF CC promotes everything great about the game of cricket. With no income we're seeking help from the community to secure the club's future

What we are trying to achieve

Our Club

Our merger clubs both have a history which began over one hundred years ago in the areas of Compton & Shawford and Chandlers Ford.  Today, we have four adult Saturday teams, one mid-week side, Sunday friendly team; a thriving juniors section which starts from All Stars all the way up to Under 15s.  We are fortunate enough to have two sides in some age groups.  Last year, we started a W10 friendly side and we had hoped to offer Dynamos cricket for young girls for the first time this summer.

Why is our club important?

We provide club cricket for approximately 160 regular playing members - boys, girls, ladies and men.  Our club has become a focal point for the local community during the summer months.  We plan to build on this and hope to provide more opportunities for local children to play cricket in the years ahead.

So why do we need your help?

Due to the unprecedented circumstances faced by COVID-19, we need to ask our members and supporters in the village and wider community to help maintain the cricket club and secure it's future during these uncertain times.

Currently, despite there being no playing season so far, the club has had to continue to pay running and maintenance costs including insurances and grounds upkeep.

Our aim is to raise as much as your generosity allows, to ensure these costs can be paid with no income coming in. We had big plans for fundraising throughout 2020 as many of you will be aware as we desperately need to replace our nets and artificial wicket.  We hope to apply for further match funding to assist us further.

We appreciate everyone has a different financial situation during this time, so any donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated.
