Community Kettle Empowering People to Connect.

Aim: Turning an empty large retail unit into an inclusive diverse space where the kettle is on encouraging all ages to come and share experiences

Community Kettle CIC are a passionate, creative and visionary team working hard to bring people together building an inclusive, compassionate, diverse community, where all ages connect to share experiences, ideas and talents.

We have been working with young children and older people together in care homes and seen the huge impact this has on both generations.  Increased physical activity, improved communication, understanding and wellbeing being at the core of our success.  We now want to expand this initial work to reach across the wider community.

A landlord has given us the chance to take over an old bank in our local high street, giving us an incredible opportunity to reach out to local people and provide this space at the heart of the community.  We are already connecting to local people who are excited at the different activities that are evolving based on their ideas, we are grateful for all the offers of help we are receiving, and we now need to invest in the site to adapt it to become an accessible community space.

Our social purpose is simple...

Cross-generational experiences and activities that help overcome social segregation and isolation are at its core.

A safe space where the kettle is on, and local people of all ages can come into the Community Kettle Intergenerational  Hub to share in a wide range of activities, creating natural connections with others with similar passions. The Hub provides a safe space for adults, children and everyone in between, making everyone feel welcome, included and listened too.

A unique space with the community at the heart. A space to share talents and discover new ones.  

Community Kettle Hub offers a fresh approach to the traditional community space for hire, we enable groups to come together by supporting local residents, micro businesses and social enterprises to collaborate together.

We are:

• Passionate about bringing people of all ages together through positive experiences 
• Have access to a wide variety of programmes, interest, talents and experiences.
• Improving attitudes between different generations and increasing quality of life.
• Providing a neutral safe, nurturing, supportive space where everyone is valued and has a voice.
• Build a neighbourhood that supports each other.
•  Empowering local people to connect and use their own talents to run the activities to cross generations.
• Removing barriers to enable ease of access to all experiences on offer for any generation.
• Offering unique opportunities through partnerships and joint work that enables sharing of resources and knowledge.
• Supported team of passionate, creative, highly trained and experienced professionals.
