NEU was created through lived experience, second chances, and a belief that wellbeing should be practical, human, and accessible.
Vee’s journey began in education and alternative provision, working with young people and adults affected by trauma, exclusion, and unmet needs. Years on the frontline showed her that many people reach crisis not through lack of ability, but lack of support — and that early, trauma-informed wellbeing can change lives.
Fin, James and John each bring lived experience shaped long before prison. Before custody, their lives included strengths as well as struggles — involvement in rugby and football, running businesses, working, providing for families, and contributing to their communities. Alongside this sat unaddressed trauma, poor mental health, addiction, and limited emotional support. The skills were there; the tools to cope were not.
Prison became a point of reflection rather than definition. Through accountability and self-work, each began rebuilding their lives, gaining insight into what genuinely supports change.
NEU — Now Everybody Unite — was born from combining professional expertise with lived experience.
Today, NEU delivers trauma-informed, evidence-based wellbeing in local communities, helping people build resilience, connection and practical life skills — so talent is nurtured, not lost, and futures are shaped by opportunity, not labels.
