Aim

To provide a weekly community warm space at Hare Hill House, Littleborough's Community Arts and Enterprise Centre.

Who are we?

MoorEnd Development Trust Ltd was established in 2004 as a company limited by guarantee and charity serving the communities of the Pennines Township in Rochdale. We run two community venues, Butterworth Hall Community Centre in Milnrow and Hare Hill House in Littleborough both of which provide space for a wide range of community activities and events for the local communities.

Community impact

We aim to provide services that our community has identified as needing. Our Meet Up project provides a weekly luncheon and entertainment for the elderly and isolated; Blokes provides a men only space for participants to connect, converse and create friendships. We also provide space for local groups and agencies to deliver a wide range ofactivities and events for the community.

Why are we crowdfunding?

This is where you should explain the reason you need to raise money. How is your organisation or community impacted by the cost of living crisis?

The Trust relies on fund raising to enable it to deliver projects for the wider benefit of our community. Creating a Community Warm Space is the charities response to seek to help people through a difficult period, with increasing fuel prices, rising prices and falling temperatures. All are welcome and our Project Facilitator will seek to ensure we or others provide any necessary support for our users.

How we’ll spend the money raised

It’s important to be transparent about how you plan to spend the money you raise. Your audience will be more likely to make a pledge if they can see how their donation will help.

The funding will enable the Trust to open the doors of Hare Hill House for an additional half day a week for a 10 week period, paying for the Project Facilitator, venue costs, publicity and refreshments.
