Community van project fraserburgh

Aim

To provide a community van volunteer run helping elderly & vunerable & wherever possible in the community alongside other community groups

Hi I am trying to build a community van to help raise awareness to mental health & suicide along with helping the community with  litter picks graffiti clean up dog mess bag dispensers refilled & whatever we can do to help Inc our furniture & white goods recycling idea scheme within the community.

I would like to offer anyone who wishes to have a loved ones name displayed on the van to contact me happy to arrange this posative tribute whilst helping raise awareness in the community and out & about as it travels & does whatever it can to help.

Or anything we can do to help with the van in the community during the week whenever a van & driver is needed by the community or local businesses or other community groups ect.

I would also be looking to get storage for white goods and furniture to be donated and stored in to help the elderly & vulnerable struggling to get these items delivered or items delivered to local charities. This would be run by Voluntary effort & in memory of my younger brother Timi & not for personal monetary gain.

whilst it travels round the community for a small donation to charity at the discretion of your choice doing good. There would be links on the community van page & qr codes on the vehicle to donate to.

I would also be looking to share the van or van and driver with other local community groups who may benefit from such from time to time when setting up at events getting items delivered ect. And if possible look to having monthly activity meet days with other groups to meet socialise and share hobby equipment ect to reward volunteers and encourage other groups to come and see what we are all about as well as getting everyone together for the betterment of the community.

I have all equipment to kit out the van and am happy to volunteer my time effort and funds to run this day to day & maintain the van anyone is welcome to join me it's a community group I am building for the betterment for all of the community via voluntary effort.

Why am I crowd funding I am not able to get help from council for funding I fund my project on my carers allowance benefit I receive for caring for my partner and would like to build this project for the betterment of all in voluntary effort and passion and not for monatary gain.

I self manage anxiety & have experienced mental health & loss of my younger brother i would like to be a volunteer community group welcome to anyone who needs extra support encouragement and someone to be a listening ear whilst keeping them active and involved in a varied mix of voluntary effort and hobbies and whatever we can do to help keep busy and work together as a positive team .

I believe this would be good for a mental health boost and sense of achievement but most importantly if they require extra help they can be encouraged or supported to the right center services or other local group's.

Some of us are unable to do this alone and require this encouragement and in the darkest moments we don't always reach out or tell anyone so I am in hope if we can have more community groups to be in weekly contact with members of the community who would benefit from this it can only help them get the encouragement to the direction of the places we have to help ( why suffer in silence) (man chat) (Twspp) (below decks) & much more that we can raise awareness to the existence of within the community as a whole.

I myself find that building this project has helped me a great deal as restbite and rewarding sense of achievement and betterment of the community for all wherever possible as well as helping make posative future memories for my younger brother I feel it's helping me with a the ability to feel a great deal of self worth & this means a great deal to me as much as it does to help others.

Thank you for taking the time to read if we succeeded I would be using the funds raised to buy a community van vehicle insurance ect to have it on road and ready to go and litter picking equipment & day to day running costs to start up and get us on our feet as well as rent storage for white goods furniture and office space so we can better help those in need of the furniture or white goods or just need to come in and have a coffee and a chat with a listening ear.

I was inspired to create this project as my younger brother took his own life and is missed everyday he shares his birthday with my youngest daughter and it's the anniversary of his passing. I wish to help raise awareness to this and point anyone in the direction of the great help available like man chat twspp & any other organisations able to provide help or support and do good to make positive future memories in tribute to Timi my younger brother Timi8987 & others lost to soon
