Encouraging the community to plant and enjoy local BIODIVERSITY, Raise awareness of how important local planting can bring benefits.
We are based in a very socially deprived area of Keighley and we want to INSPIRE ,CREATE AND ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION. We want to increase planting flowers and other plants in the area ,we have some greenspaces which need to be cleared and we want to get local people interested in local biodiversity ,to improve the community environment ,get local people involved in the project. The key aims of this project are to-
1) Bring People Together
2) Promote Community Cohesion
3)Improve community Cohesion
4)Involve people who experience loneliness and isolation
5)Get BAME communities involved in this project
6) Get people interested in planting trees ,learning skills
7) Get people to think about how local Biodiversity can bring benefits to the area and the health and well being of its residents.
8) Recruit local people to volunteer on this project
9) Get young people involved and encourage them to participate in the community planting .
10) People meeting other people ,communities that they don't usually engage with
Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund has provided £5,500 of match funding
Aviva Community Fund has provided £4,680 of match funding
Aviva Employee Giving has provided £160 of match funding
My Climate Ready Plan Fund has provided £20 of match funding
