To ensure every child and family always has access to the basic food supplies.

Who are we?

We are Perry Wood Primary family hub. We are a hub run by parent volunteers. Helping local family and community to have a safe space to support their well-being.

Community impact

This project will benefit families and local comminity of the school. Families will be able to access the hub at any time during the school day to access basic food supplies or sit with volunteers to have soup and a roll and a hot drink.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are finding more and more than the following 2 things are happening within our community.
1. Children are coming to school without any breakfast

2. Parents are going without food to ensure their child eats well.

This has been aggravated by the cost of living crisis - families are really struggling to find money for the basics. They struggle to find work around the school hours as can't afford the school fees for after school clubs.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money will be used to keep a constant pantry of basic food supplies. At the moment we rely on donations from the community but the cost of living crisis has meant people can't afford to donate anymore. The pantry is become bare. We have notice the things that families require and request are bread, milk, beans, cheese, hot chocolate and potatoes. We would keep a constant supply within our hub for community to access when they are struggling.
